Our client is a company which is active in the engineering and the oil & gas industry and is located in The Hague. This international company has employees from all over the world.



  • Runs month end closing routines from start to finish independently
  • Prepares/assists in monthly financial and management reporting statements by collecting data, analyzing and investigating variances, summarizing data, information, and trends, including consolidation
  • Prepares reconciliations for month end and quarter end for all companies (UK and NL)
  • Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data
  • Assists with preparation of consolidated Group accounts and NL statutory accounts for half year and year end 
  • Assists statutory auditors on their review and audit of the interim and full year financial statements and their audit of controls and procedures as required
  • Assists other auditors (JV and Tax) where necessary
  • Preparation and/or review of accounting papers for complex or judgmental areas such as impairment, provisions, hedging
  • Acts as treasury function back-up
  • Involvement with ad hoc projects, as required
  • Based: The Hague (potential occasional travel to London UK to assist Group Finance)


Skills and competencies

Ability to work within a team and individually.  You are able to set priorities and deliver a high quality of work.  You have solid knowledge of general bookkeeping, IFRS and you are an experienced Excel user. It is desired, yet not required, that you have experience in working within the oil and gas industry and with Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) accounting system. Ideally you are a professional, at a BSc work- and thinking level with 5+ years of experience. You are available for 24-32 hours a week.


The first year you will get a contract with BOEG, after this year you will be employed by the company. You will receive a salary between E 3.500,- and E 4.000,- on a full time basis per month.


Do you speak (a little bit of) Dutch and fluently English let’s have a “bakkie koffie” at the office of BOEG.
